Sophomore Adeline Richardson, who is pursuing the New York State Seal of Civic Readiness via her studies at Silver Creek High School, is pictured with gifts for a local military veteran family in need for the winter holiday season. 🇺🇸 Over the years, SCHS students have coordinated with the WNY Heroes Adopt-A-Hero program in Buffalo to provide food, clothing and other gifts to area veterans in need during the holidays. 🎁 In early December, Adeline facilitated a bake sale fundraiser held December 2, 2022, during a district basketball game. Proceeds of $272 were used to purchase the presents. 🥧🏀💰 Adeline is thankful to Tammy from Creekside Cafe and Bakery, WNY Heroes, Laura LeBarron, her uncle Lenny Pfluger, her sister Harmony Sinders and teacher Miss Kristen Foley for their support in this community project. 🙏🖤💛

Silver Creek High’s Character a committee focused on the strength of humor during November and December, 2022. 🥸🤣 During trying times, humor is a light. Humor is the ability to be funny and find things around you funny in an appropriate way. The Knights of Month for humor are: junior Liam Matney, sophomore Trent Lack, senior Grace Mullen, freshman Kolby Jamison, and biology teacher Mr. Dan Tomaszewski. 💛🖤💛🖤 Congratulations to all of our nominees and our Knights of the Month! Optimism is the focus for January 2023. Mrs. Guzzetta and Mr. Gerard brought this strength to the auditorium to show our Black Knights how optimism can change your whole outlook!
