For today's #SaturdayMorningShoutOut we’re celebrating the one and only Mr. Chris Prevet — our middle school Dean of Students (aka our beloved Dean of Mean…mean at longboarding, mean at dancing, and mean at getting kids pumped up).

You can spot Mr. Prevet rolling down our halls on his longboard like the “wheel” deal, blasting tunes that amp up the energy, and teaching our students some serious dance moves.

But here’s the real headline: behind the longboard and the laughs, he has the tough, honest conversations that help our students grow. He holds them accountable and helps to move them forward — that’s the real Prevet power.

Mr. Prevet is truly a pillar of the middle school — sturdy, supportive, and impossible to skate past without smiling. We’re so lucky to have him rolling right alongside our students and staff #everyday! #BKP #SCCARES

Learn how to make a traditional, Haudenosaunee cornhusk doll, using techniques acquired through the generations. This is an opportunity to engage in and exchange cultural learning through a unique, hands-on workshop.
Participants will meet on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Room 149. Registration fee is $10 and Supply fee is $5 (to be paid to the instructor).

For the 2026-2027 school year, there is one (1) five-year seat open on the Board of Education. This term will commence on July 1, 2026.

Petitions for anyone interested in running for a seat on the Board of Education are available from the District Clerk. Petitions require signatures from at least 25 district residents age 18 or older.

Completed petitions must be returned to the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m., on April 20, 2026.

Mr. Morton of Sun-Dance-Kids Farm brought his oh-so-sweet pet lamb, Marshmallow, for Pet of the Month! A fun fact we learned about lambs today is that their wool is naturally flame resistant and is used in many first responder uniforms for this reason! Stay tuned each month...you never know what he'll bring next!

2026-2027 Pre-school & Kindergarten registration
District residents with a child who will turn 4 or 5 years old by Dec. 1, 2026, are welcome to register by making an appointment with our Registrar or attend Open Enrollment on April 17 from 12 to 3pm OR April 23 from 4 to 7 pm. Parents/guardians will receive enrollment packets and must have a valid government-issued photo ID as proof of identity, birth certificate of the child, and (2) proofs of residency. Custody paperwork must be provided if applicable.

Your age doesn’t matter for the importance to learn an easy way to organize important documents and information into one simple to create and user-friendly binder for those left in charge NOW! No need to gather everything beforehand. Organize as you go. Inspired by my husband, who proclaimed he “Had to go first” because he didn’t know where anything was. I realized I didn’t either!

On this #SeniorSunday, let's give a big #BKP congratulations to Skylar Pryll, who proudly graduated early this January from the Academy at Maple Avenue! Known for being creative, witty and having a strong work ethic, she consistently demonstrates dedication and originality in everything she does. Skylar played a big part in student council where she helped to contribute to school events and student leadership. Skylar is planning to attend Jamestown Community College in the Fall where she will major in Graphic Design, with the goal of transferring to Fredonia State to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Animation/Illustration. We are so proud of her accomplishments and can't wait to see where her talent takes her next! #SCCARES #everyday
