Let’s give a big #BKP shoutout to Miss Allie Rozewicz! Allie is a 7th grade student who attended our Board of Education meeting last night to give a special presentation about the jelly making/canning process she learned in Ms. Huff’s FACS class! She reviewed the whole process step by step and even shared a few jars with our Board members! This is just one example of the exciting lessons our teachers are providing for our students that will have a lasting impact! #SCCARES #everyday

Haley Ross is the new lieutenant governor for Key Club Division 26 of New York State! The New York District consists of 28 divisions and is served by 7 dedicated executive officers and 28 lieutenant governors. We are the second-largest single-state district and the fourth-largest district in Key Club International. Haley is a freshman at Silver Creek and is super excited for this service year and to do as much as possible for our clubs! Did you know District 26 has an instagram page? Mrs. Tothero is a WNY native and loves skiing at Holiday Valley, hiking, swimming with the Nickel City Splash Club, going to live music concerts, singing in the St. Louis Choir in Buffalo, visiting her daughters Katie and Maddie at SUNY Geneseo and SUNY New Paltz, watching football (go Bills!!), and going out to eat with her husband, Steve. Fun fact: her mom was born in Quebec, Canada, so she has many French Canadian cousins who barely speak English, so Se parle un peu Francais! "I am most excited to continue building relationships with the amazing students and staff at Silver Creek!"

Mrs. Castiglia's Business classes attended the SUNY Fredonia School Of Business Discovery Day on October 30. The day consisted of an introduction to the Business programs presented by faculty and a panel of current business students along with a campus tour.

**ATTENTION FAMILIES** SC Elementary is excited to host the Annual Turkey Trot on Wednesday, November 5! Families are invited to come watch their students run! Primary (PreK-2) will run at 1:45-2:15 pm and Intermediate (Grades 3-5) at 2:15-2:45 pm. Please dress for the weather, this will be an outdoor event. #SCCARES #BKP #everyday

Knights Against Cancer students spent their Saturday giving back by donating and passing out candy to pediatric cancer patients from Roswell and the Courage of Carly organization at their annual Trunk or Treat event. The work we are able to be a part of means everything to our students. ‘This event has become one of our club's favorite events each year, and our students leave with the greatest reward.  The energy shift and excitement of watching our kids when they leave feeling inspired is extraordinary,’ said KAC advisor Mrs. Kardashian.   The students made sure to mention that they didn’t give up a Saturday to give back, but how much they gained from these few hours of their time, and they cannot wait to be a part of the next event.

Learn how to make colorful, contemporary, Haudenosaunee cornhusk flowers while infusing your creativity. This is an opportunity to engage in and exchange cultural learning through a unique, hands-on workshop.

Participants will meet on November 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the High School Art Room 149. The registration fee is $10.
