Ms. Lattanzio shared a special skill with her PreK class on St. Patrick's Day! She took 13 years of Irish Dancing when she was younger and introduced the students to the art. They got to see Ms. Lattanzio dance and then tried it out for themselves!

Silver Creek Middle and High school student recently held the Masterworks Concert. It was an amazing night that showcased the hard work and skills of our musicians in grades 6-12 in both chorus and band. Solo vocalists included seventh-grade chorus members Vincenzo Warren and Trevor Rice on "Blackbird," and Baylee Casey, Jorja Wronek, Zoey Zahm and Emilia Wickmark on "Be Still, Nightingale," as well as high school chorus member Auggie Boedo on "Siyahamba" with percussion provided by Ben Nehrbass and Mira Wade. One of the final pieces from the high school concert band was a tribute to Conor Prince-Rivera. Conor was a "band kid," an athlete and a friend to many. The band played an emotional performance of "In Paths of Truth and Grace."

Today, Mrs. Schuster's and Mrs. Pagano's third-grade classes had two very special Mystery Monday guests - Erie County Sheriff's Sergeant Galbraith and his partner, Ares, a Belgian Malinois police dog. Sergeant Galbraith, also the father to one of our students, read to the class, What Does A Police Dog Do? After reading and discussing the variety of police dogs and their skills, Ares joined the class to show off his skills with his partner and handler Sergeant Galbraith. Ares is one of several police dogs that Erie County enlists to keep the community safe. Ares' particular skill is to seek out illegal narcotics and support in tracking. Ares has been partnered with Sergeant Galbraith for the past 8 years. They are indeed a dynamic duo, and the students were thrilled to learn about their job and the important role each plays in their partnership and in keeping us all safe. Thank you to Sergeant Galbraith and Ares for taking the time to teach us about the importance of police dogs. We all learned many new and interesting facts today.

For today's #SaturdayMorningShoutOut we’re celebrating the one and only Mr. Chris Prevet — our middle school Dean of Students (aka our beloved Dean of Mean…mean at longboarding, mean at dancing, and mean at getting kids pumped up).
You can spot Mr. Prevet rolling down our halls on his longboard like the “wheel” deal, blasting tunes that amp up the energy, and teaching our students some serious dance moves.
But here’s the real headline: behind the longboard and the laughs, he has the tough, honest conversations that help our students grow. He holds them accountable and helps to move them forward — that’s the real Prevet power.
Mr. Prevet is truly a pillar of the middle school — sturdy, supportive, and impossible to skate past without smiling. We’re so lucky to have him rolling right alongside our students and staff #everyday! #BKP #SCCARES

Mr. Morton of Sun-Dance-Kids Farm brought his oh-so-sweet pet lamb, Marshmallow, for Pet of the Month! A fun fact we learned about lambs today is that their wool is naturally flame resistant and is used in many first responder uniforms for this reason! Stay tuned each month...you never know what he'll bring next!
