Looking for some fun, upbeat workouts? We have you covered! Mrs. Decker has coordinated with local community members and organizations to bring you a series of YAC/Unified Wellness Workouts! These are FREE family-friendly events for people of all ages and skill levels! Our first event is coming up on Thursday!! No need to register, just show up. Yoga mat and water bottle are helpful but not required!
**COURTESY POST** The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation is excited to share that Space Camp is back in session for 2026! They're offering a scholarship opportunity for students (and even interested adults) to attend Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.
Eligibility:
* Students in grades 4–12 (or adults with a strong interest in space)
* “B” or better average in math and science
* A demonstrated interest in space travel, aeronautics, or science
Application deadline: December 5th. This early deadline allows time for selected recipients and their families to plan travel arrangements for camp.
Elementary Assistant Principal Joshua Case, a former Unified Basketball coach in Dunkirk, worked together with the Unified Basketball coach Jen Johnson and Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) Advisor Janet Decker, to hold an exhibition Unified Basketball game for the entire elementary school. The elementary students enjoyed learning about respect through this unique and exciting experience. Respect was demonstrated both on and off the court and allowed the students and staff to see the Unified team do what they do best - respect each other as athletes. In the end everyone had fun and learned a valuable lesson.

Last week, we welcomed community members for our annual Senior Citizen Luncheon! The Silver Creek Seniors joined us for a Thanksgiving feast catered by Dolly Beebe. Special placemats were created by elementary art students in Mrs. Anderson's class. They were able to enjoy musical performances by fifth-grade baritone soloist Olivia Hammer and the high school band ahead of their concert.
