The Silver Creek-Forestville Unified Bowling Team competed at the CCAA Unified Bowling Championships on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Jamestown Bowling Company. They faced tough competition in the division but were able to bring home a 3rd place finish! Belle Shumaker and Calvin Matney were each recognized for their sportsmanship, not only with their team, but also in supporting the teams playing around them. Unified Bowling is a part of the Special Olympics Sports program, allowing students with and without disabilities to play together, allowing everyone the chance to feel the joy and excitement of being a part of team. #BKP #SCCARES #everyday

Our Elementary Students recently got to enjoy the Say No to Bullying Magic Show! Mike Seege used magic tricks and a high-energy presentation to teach our students what bullying is, along with tips on addressing a bully, how to be a leader when a friend is bullied, and when/how to ask for help!

Our 5th graders hit a major milestone yesterday: 1,000 days of school since Kindergarten! To celebrate, we combined "sweet" treats with even sweeter memories. Each student brought 17 pieces of candy to share, creating a massive mix so everyone went home with 17 different treats! Students wrote down their favorite memories and lessons from elementary school and attached them to the treats, sharing their "wisdom" with each other while they picked out their candy. #BKP #SCCARES #everyday

Cason Gross won the library's February writing contest with his swashbuckling adventure story about a young boy who takes on a role on a ship, when disaster strikes threatening his life. He must survive to get back to his sick mother. A great, riveting tale! #BKP #SCCARES #everyday

Middle and high school Seneca Language students, along with the Horticulture class, headed outside to learn about tapping maple trees to make maple syrup. The classes headed to the edge of the school property with special guest Allen Gage, assistant director at Gakwi:yo:h Farms, who taught the students how to identify and properly tap a maple tree. In addition to being a tasty breakfast condiment, maple syrup is also considered medicinal in the Seneca Culture for dispelling the winter blues as spring arrives, according to High School Seneca Teacher Anne Tahamont. The students helped to drill the holes, hammer in the spouts and attach the buckets. The sap will be collected by students and will be frozen until it can be boiled into syrup during a traditional outdoor cooking lesson.
