Here's a peek at the latest writing project and craft from ELA students from Ms. Danielle Schuster and Ms. Lisa Estee’s classes at Silver Creek Elementary School. 📖✍️ Students were asked to think about Fall, read some books then completed an acrostic poem. Afterward, students created a tree by tracing their arm and used their fingerprints to make leaves on or falling from the trees. 🍂

Members of the Knights Against Cancer club at Silver Creek Central School District frosted and decorated four dozen cut-out cookies last week (Oct. 25-29, 2021) to be sent to Kevin's Guest House in Buffalo. The KAC has been volunteering at this hospital hospitality house for years. Due to the pandemic, they can’t go in and prepare their typical dinners as in years past, but KAC members look forward to doing it again as soon as it is possible. In the meantime, they wanted to still be able to brighten the spirits of all of the guests and staff at Kevin's Guest House, which offers a place to stay to people who are either receiving care or are family members of those receiving care at local hospitals in Buffalo. According to KAC advisor and teacher Jessica Kardashian, the work of Kevin’s Guest House is imperative and of great importance to the KAC club. Students pictured decorating the cookies are Amber Lockwood, Jess Didas, Daisy League, Victoria Iskra, Sam Rankin, Rachael Beadle, Katelyn Gard and Emily Bowers. Even though the KAC club members can't be there in person, this will be a regular occurrence until they are able to join Mr. & Mrs. Kardashian and their son Lincoln, who is learning to give back at a very early age, in delivering the donations to Kevin’s Guest House. #BKP #BlackKnightPride #SilverCreekCSD
