Presentation i n the auditorium.

Every June in Mrs. Seiders’ Health class, the students have a final project where they need to come up with 10 tips, pieces of advice, or quotes to be successful in middle school. This could be strategies they used to be successful in middle school, lessons they learned along the way and sometimes still struggle with, or advice they wish they would have known and now understand the importance of.

Mrs. Seiders asked three of the high school students to come back and share the most important tips with middle school students through a presentation and conversation!

“We are hoping students will be able start using this information as soon as possible! The high schoolers hope that the students lean in, and open their hearts and minds because they feel strongly about how this advice could impact the rest of students’ middle and high school years!” Mrs. Seiders said.

Senior Sarah Cross and juniors Alex Karnes and Karissa Buchannan shared some of the things that they love and advised not to sweat the small stuff and to get involved in extracurriculars as well as other nuggets of advice.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the high school students over the summer as well as a couple of times this school year! This is truly a special and amazing group, and I am super proud of all three of them! They have really gone above and beyond what is expected and for that I am grateful!” Mrs. Seiders added.

The high school students are forever changed by this experience. As for the middle school students, they have some new tools in their toolbox to know how to manage their time, live with morals, get involved, and be a good person. They concluded the presentation with a video on what it looks and feels like to be kind. Both students and staff alike felt the emotional impact of this short clip!
