Happy New Year Black Knight Family!

The new year is always a great time to reflect and analyze, refine and approach the new year and semester with a fresh mindset and energy. As a building, we have made positive steps this year to set new habits and norms, while growing and becoming better people, students, athletes, and community members. It is always at this time of year that I encourage goal setting and digging deeper than before to accomplish all new goals. I challenge all of us in the Black Knight Family to pick at least one area of growth to target and be relentless in achieving it.

To jumpstart our year, I fall back on some core values that motivate and guide many individuals and groups towards greatness:

INTEGRITY:  Always strive to do your best and what is right, no matter who is looking. Stay true to yourself and be a leader in making positive and helpful decisions for yourself and those around you.

SERVICE:  Find a purpose greater than yourself and spend time and energy dedicated to serving others. There is no greater feeling than being selfless to those around us who need a helping hand. Be the one who finds a way to put others before you.

EXCELLENCE:  In your passions, hobbies, studies and extracurriculars, do everything to the fullest. Everything we do has the potential to be something incredible – choose to be excellent in all of your endeavors.

I look forward to beginning a new calendar year, the end of the first semester and witnessing the greatness that we all have the potential to achieve. With any new year will come a new set of challenges, but from struggle comes the greatest level of growth. I wish you all a very happy New Year and I cannot wait to see the Black Knight Family continue to learn and grow.
