Silver Creek Central School District's fitness room is now open for public membership. It is located in the hallway behind the High School gymnasium. The equipment was purchased through a grant written to help improve Silver Creek students' fitness. The district is, however, making the facility available for residents who wish to exercise after school hours.

Membership fees are used to pay for room supervision and maintenance. The facility will be open to membership for district residents above the age of 18. Students may use the facility for free, however students 14-15 years old must be accompanied by a parent. Residents and students 16+ may sign up at the high school office during regular business hours. Each member must participate in a brief training session as well as fill out the proper paperwork and releases.

The fitness room is equipped with the following cardio equipment: six commercial treadmills, four recumbent bicycles, four elliptical cross trainers, four stand-up bicycles. All cardio equipment is made by Lifefitness and registers calories, target heart rate, speed, distance and time.

The fitness room is also equipped with the following strength equipment: 1 selectorized chest press, 1 selectorized leg extension, 1 selectorized leg curl, 1 selectorized seated row, 1 selectorized pectoral/rear fly.
