A half dozen employees of Silver Creek Central School District were recognized for their many years of dedication at a ceremony held the week of June19-23, 2023, in the auditorium.
The six employees honored have 112 years of service to SCCS combined. Please join us in thanking them for their service.
Board of Education President Martha Howard was present to distribute plaques to the following retirees:
- HOLLY MARCEY: School Secretary for 35 years of service from 1988-2023 with a retirement date of April 10, 2023.
- LYNN GODERT: Secretary to Business Administrator/District Clerk for 26 years of service from 1996-2022 with a retirement date of December 31, 2022.
- WENDY BRAY: Elementary Teacher for 18 years of service from 2005-2023 with a retirement date of June 30, 2023.
- BONNIE PELZ: Teaching Assistant for 17 years from 2006-2023 with a retirement date of June 30, 2023.
- DONALD SCHWERTFAGER: Working Supervisor for nine years of service from 2013-2022 with a retirement date of December 31, 2022.
- TODD CRANDALL: Superintendent for 7 years of service from 2016-2023 with a retirement date of June 30, 2023.
Bray, Crandall and Pelz attended the recognition ceremony while Godert, Marcy and Schwertfager did not.
Personal Touch provided a lunch to all staff afterwards with BOE members Mike Grisanti, Greg Cole and Steve Boothe assisting with grilling.
